Illithena did not succumb to survivor’s guilt after the Quiescentia and turn to Keyet, the god of death, for answers. Illithena did not have survivor’s guilt at all, in fact. The near extinction of her species held the same thoughts for her as the day she stepped on a stray nail: bloody and inconvenient and nothing more. A former general in the elven empire, she eventually found herself employed by Vareclea as the Silvestrem owner’s personal assassin. The two became quite close and Vareclea would often send Illithena to murder townsfolk just to hear her descriptions of the deeds later. After more than a decade of service Vareclea tasked Illithena with killing Drusus, the Silvestrem’s greatest champion. Drusus soundly defeated Illithena, her crossbow bolts proving ineffective against a man that routinely wrestled with monsters. Drusus chose to let the elf live, knowing Vareclea would endlessly waste time and resources attempting to punish Illithena for her failure. Illithena signed up with the Seekers immediately and joined the first expedition she could find.
Illithena is a ranged attacker with high damage and potent debuffs. Keep her behind the higher health Seekers and watch Illithena decimate her enemies or enable her allies to do the decimating for her. Her Elven Aim skill allows her to ignore armor if she rolls two Specials while Cripple makes the next attack against her target also ignore armor. Her Plague Bolts skill applies a permanent poison debuff, while Royal Bloodline and Luck of the Elves ensure she will always put out as much damage as possible.
