Intelligent and malevolent, daemonretches skulk in the shadows of the Godfell Swamps, or in the countless caves and tunnels that twist beneath the Wilds. Many a Seeker and Ashcarii have disappeared in those dark places, their skulls now adorning the monsters’ misshapen bodies. Always accompanied by their children, daemonretches are asexual, able to gestate their young in their stomachs. These daemonspawns are birthed by a succession of dramatic heaves before finally being vomited into the world. Daemonspawns have incredibly short lifespans and the daemonretches are known to wail when one of their offspring perishes. The series of moans and guttural screams can echo for miles, every bit as disturbing as the creature that emits them.
The Daemonretch is a ranged attacker/summoner with decent health and speed, high magical defense and high range. The Daemonretch works best on the backline, near its Assent, making ranged attacks and spawning Daemonspawn to run interference and block line of sight. With Boiling Blood, the Daemonretch always inflicts Bleed on its target, which can be a powerful debuff if your opponent has no way to deal with it. The Daemonretch can also use Ravenous to heal itself, if the player is fortunate enough to roll a Special. Have your daemonretch skulk in the shadows, send its children to their deaths and survive long enough that your regeneration proves too much for your exsanguinating foes.
