Koralt

The Lavot Warlock

Koralt

Koralt is a mystical scientist of sorts, delighting in studying magic’s effects on the living firsthand. The Lavot could have been one of the greatest Seekers that ever lived, but he often chose to experiment on the creatures of the Wilds rather than sell them at the markets. His hobby landed him in the Silvestrem, and he has been an infamous presence in the arena ever since. In his 20 years of matches, Koralt has made more enemies than any other competitor. The only person who seems to genuinely like him is Vareclea, and she would flay him with a rusted wire if she thought it would fill seats. Koralt is also the only gladiator aside from Amalia who has no wish to escape. Where else could he be that his victims would come to him?

Koralt is a low health, high damage ranged attacker with unique healing and damage skills. Like the other ranged Assents, Koralt operates best behind his troupe, taking advantage of his superior range to find angles against high priority targets while his creatures take the brunt of his opponent’s assault. His skills are difficult to counter, allowing him to succeed regardless of who is winning. Only concerned with himself and his craft, Koralt can reap rewards from every death in the arena.

Koralt’s skills reflect his amoral nature, prioritizing his well-being above all others. Twilight allows him to take minor damage from an attack to redirect the original (presumably much higher) damage to a member of his troupe and Unchained strengthens his powers by sacrificing a creature under his command. Koralt is also adept at diminishing the opposing troupe’s effectiveness with Sever and Suffocate.

Koralt is best served by using his Magic Weapon equipment slot for extra damage, such as the Staff of Storms or extra utility, like the Wicked Wand. For Accessories, it’s hard to go wrong with the Enchanted Bloodstone.
